Synthetic Biology and Biomedical Engineering
The research interest of Dr. Haifeng Ye has been focused on syntheticbiology and biomedical engineering with the goal to achieve precise diagnosisand treatment of diseases. The main research topics include: design and synthesis of artificial gene circuits and custom designer cells, optogenetics-baseddisease treatment, precisely controlled gene editing system, intelligentdiagnosis and treatment of metabolic diseases/tumor immunity, synthetic biologyand regenerative medicine, microbial synthetic biology and intelligent diagnosisand treatment.
His research work has been published intop scientific journals: Science, Science Translational Medicine (two cover stories), Nature Biomedical Engineering, Proc Natl Acad Sci USA, Molecular Therapy, etc. His research was also highlighted by a series of top scientific journals: Cell, Nature Medicine, Nature Chemical Biology, Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, etc., and received widespread press coverage: Xinhua News Agency, BBC,EurekaAlert@AAAS, ScienceDaily, MIT Technology Review, IEEE Spectrum, ScienceBulletin, GEN,Descover, Bioworld, etc.
